Princeton University's Audrey Zak Earns March 19 Southern Division Defensive Player of the Week Honors

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- Princeton University senior Audrey Zak (Carlsbad, Calif./Carlsbad) contributed a goal, two steals and seven ejections drawn in a 3-1 weekend for the Tigers at the San Diego State University Aztec Invitational to earn the March 19 Women's Varsity Southern Division Defensive Player of the Week award.

She provided a huge defensive lift in the field for the Tigers. In four starts, she drew seven ejections, made two steals and scored a goal versus No. 19 University of California-San Diego (7-6 W OT). Versus No. 12 California State University-Northridge, Zak helped preserve Princeton's one-goal advantage with a steal to earn a 4-3 victory to open the weekend tournament.In addition, she tacked on two ejections drawn against University of the Pacific (10-6 W) and five more in the Princeton's concluding contest of the tournament against host/No. 8 San Diego State (9-7 L) as the Tigers improved to 19-2 overall, 2-0 in Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Southern Division play.
