Gannon's Naranjo Named October 4 Southern Division Player of the Week
BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- Greg Naranjo (Sr., Coral Springs, Fla./Stoneman Douglas) of Gannon University recorded 13 goals, three assists, 14 steals and two saves in a 3-1 weekend for the Golden Knights to help his team move to 7-5 on the season, 6-2 in CWPA play, and earn the October 4 Southern Division Player of the Week award.
Playing at home in all four games, he tallied three goals and six steals against Mercyhurst College in a 14-10 loss before breaking out for six goals, two assists and four steals in a 21-12 victory over visiting Washington & Jefferson College. He concluded the weekend with four goals, an assist and four steals versus Pennsylvania State University-The Behrend College (16-7 W), while also aiding the Golden Knights in defeating Salem International University (10-2 W).
