Grove City College's Kristi Baur Named April 18 Women's Division III Rookie of the Week

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- Grove City College's Kristi Baur (Fr., North Wales, Pa./North Penn) recorded five goals, an assist and seven steals in victories over Pennsylvania State University-Behrend and Notre Dame College (Ohio) at the Washington & Jefferson College Invitational to claim the April 18 Women's Varsity Division III Rookie of the Week award.

She posted two goals and four steals versus PSU-Behrend (13-3 W) before tacking on three goals, an assist, three steals and three ejections drawn against Notre Dame (16-3 W) as the Wolverines closed the regular season with a 14-12 mark.

The award marks the second of the season for Baur as she previously received a nod as the February 28 Division III Rookie of the Week.  In addition, it marks the third weekly honor bestowed on the Baur family in 2011 as sister Lauren Baur (Sr., North Wales, Pa./North Penn) picked up accolades as the March 7 Division III Defensive Player of the Week.
