Cara Reitz Honored with Leaders of Distinction Award at University of Michigan Athletics Award Ceremony

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- University of Michigan captain Cara Reitz (Sr., Miami, Fla./Gulliver) was recognized with the Leader of Distinction Award at Michigan's Athletics Award Ceremony.

Awarded to student-athletes who participated in the Michigan Leadership Academy Program and received the best feedback from coaches and teammates in a leadership profile examination.

The award continues a string of honors for the two-time Wolverines' captain (2010-11) who previously garnered Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) All-Academic (2008-10), Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Scholar-Athlete (2008-10), Academic All-Big Ten (2009-10) and University of Michigan Athletic Academic Achievement (2008-11) honors.
