CWPA Releases 2011 Women's National Collegiate Club All-America Team

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) has released the organization's 2011 Women's National Collegiate Club All-America Team as voted by the league's 125 women's collegiate club programs.

Comprised of 47 student-athletes from 29 institutions, the National Collegiate Club All-America team is voted on by an representative from each of the women's club progams in the Collegiate Water Polo Association.  Votes are tabulated with individuals receiving the greatest number of points earning first team honors.   

For her performance during the season, Cal Poly's Sarah Ur earns the National Player of the Year.  The award caps a season in which Ur led the Mustangs to the National Championship, while earning individual accolades as the National Collegiate Club Championship and Pacific Coast Division Most Valuable Player.  The 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 Pacific Coast Division First-Team All-Conference, Division Most Valuable Player and National Collegiate Club  Championship Most Valuable Player selection, the Player of the Year award marks the third of Ur's four-year First-Team All-America collegiate career as she previously garnered the 2008 and 2010 honors.
