BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- Roni Rebish (So., Buffalo Grove, Ill./Buffalo Grove), Brittany Lefkoe (Sr., Navato, Calif./Sir Francis Drake), Elizabeth Perkins (Fr., Woodbridge, Conn./Hopkins) and Audrey Buatois (So., Palo Alto, Calif./Henry M. Gunn) combined to lead Washington University in St. Louis to a 2-2 mark in league competition over the weekend to share the March 5 Women's National Collegiate Club Heartland Division Player of the Week award.
On defense, the star was Perkins stopped 38 shots and contributed two assists to go along with seven steals in her first Heartland Division collegiate competition.
Lefkoe established herself as the Lady Bears' primary offensive weapon as she buried 11 shots with six assists and eight steals as Washington (Mo.) defeated Monmouth College (13-7 W) and Augustana College (12-3 W) with losses to Illinois State University (9-6 L) and Knox College (9-5 L).
She was aided by the duo of Rebish and Buatois who tied for the team lead in assists with nine on the weekend.
One of the team's leading defenders, Rebish posted two goals, nine assists and 14 steals, while serving as the primary center forward defender to minimize the number of shots and goals scored from that position.
On the other end of the tank, Buatois netted seven goals, nine assists and eight steals for the Lady Bears as Washington currently stands in a tie with Saint Louis University for the seventh position in the division standings.
