CWPA Releases 2010 Women's Varsity Northern Division Schedule
BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- The Collegiate Water Polo Association has released the Women's Varsity Northern Division Schedule for the 2010 season. Featuring Harvard University, Brown University and Hartwick College, the league schedule is dramatically different due to the creation of the CWPA's Division III league structure.
Competition begins on April 7 when Brown travels to Harvard for a single mid-week night game at 8:00 p.m. Following a showdown between Brown, Hartwick and Harvard in Oneonta, New York on April 10, the teams will meet once again on April 17 before Brown and Harvard conclude the regular season with a Sunday night game at Wheaton College on April 18.
The top two finishing teams from the three-team division will advance to the CWPA Eastern Championship against the best two teams from both the Southern and Western Divisions, in addition to two at-large selections. The victor of the Eastern Championship, set for April 30-May 2 at the University of Maryland,will advance to the 2010 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Championship scheduled for May 14-16 at San Diego State University.
