USC, Redlands & Navy Rank No. 1 in November 18 National Varsity Polls
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. -- The University of Southern California and the United States Naval Academy remain at No 1 in the National Top 20 and Collegiate Water Polo Association Top 10 polls, while University of Redlands took over the top spot in the Division III Top 10 Poll as the November 18 Men's Varsity Polls were released by the Collegiate Water Polo Association.
Voted on by a panel of coaches and administrators from around the country during each week of the season and based on the cumulative results of each team, the Varsity Top 20, Division III Top 10 and Collegiate Water Polo Association Top 10 polls are released each Wednesday during the season until the Wednesday following the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Championship hosted by Princeton University in early December.
Men's Top 20 Varsity Poll
The University of Southern California earned its sixth consecutive week, and eighth overall, as the No. 1 team in the nation as the Trojans were previously ranked in the top spot in the Preseason, September 9, September 16, October 14, October 21, October 28, November 4 and November 11 polls.
Further, for a fourth consecutive week the Trojans are a unanimous selection as the nation's best earning 100 points.
Overall, all 20 team ranked in the Top 20 last week remained in the poll, while University of Redlands moved up from being unranked last week to tie Johns Hopkins University at 20th.
The first five positions in the poll remain unchanged with the first changes coming at No. 6.
Following an 8-6 victory over former No. 6 Loyola Marymount University, Long Beach State University moves up two positions to No. 6 this week. University of California-Irvine remains 7th, while LMU slips to No. 8 with University of California-Santa Barbara and University of California-San Diego moving up to No. 9 and 10, respectively.
Concordia University (Calif.), which suffered a 7-6 to new No. 17 California Baptist University last week, drops two places to No. 11 while the No. 12-14 positions filled by the United States Naval Academy, Santa Clara University and the United States Air Force Academy last week remain unchanged for another seven days.
University of California-Davis, University of the Pacific, Cal Baptist, Princeton University, St. Francis College (N.Y.), Johns Hopkins and Redlands round out the Top 20.

Men's Division III Top 10 Poll
University of Redlands earned 98 points to move
up one position and take over the top spot in the Division III Poll
this week.
Redlands, which knocked off Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges (4-2 W), Pomona-Pitzer Colleges (13-9 W) and University of La Verne (13-7 W) last week, assumes the No. 1 position due to a 6-5 loss by former No. 1 Whittier College to Claremont-Mudd-Scripps.
Whittier drops to second this week, while Claremont-Mudd-Scripps and Johns Hopkins University are tied at No. 3 with Pomona-Pitzer, Chapman University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, California Lutheran University, Occidental College and Washington & Jefferson College rounding out the Top 10.

Men's Collegiate Water Polo Association Top 10 Poll
The United States Naval Academy garnered 100 points for a fifth consecutive week to retain its position as a unanimous top selection in the Collegiate Water Polo Association Top 10 Poll.
Navy, which first earned 100 points to rate as the consenus No. 1 team in the league on October 21, is followed by Princeton University, Johns Hopkins University, Bucknell University, Brown University, Fordham University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Iona College, George Washington University and Harvard University as the poll remained static from the November 11 poll due none of the CWPA teams competing last week.
