FIU's Chris Arias Named November 2 Florida Division Player of the Week

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- Florida International University's Chris Arias (Gr., Miami, Fla./Columbus) led his team in goals, assists, steals and ejections drawn to key the Golden Panthers to the 2009 Florida Division Championship over the weekend.  For his performance, Arias was named the November 2 Florida Division Player of the Week.

Over the weekend he pumped in 17 goals, dished out 13 assists and grabbed 11 steals as FIU downed the University of Miami (5-0 Forfeit), Florida State University (10-6 W), University of Central Florida (24-8 W) and defeated host University of Florida (11-10 W) to capture the division crown and earn the Florida Division's automatic bid to the 2009 National Collegiate Club Championship at the University of Florida on November 13-15.
