Brown's Svetozar Stefanovic Named October 19 Men's Varsity Northern Division Rookie of the Week
BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- Brown University's Svetozar Stefanovic (Fr., Belgrade, Serbia/Russian Embassy) continues to make history in becoming the first player in league history to earn six weekly awards as he was named the October 19 Northern Division Rookie of the Week. The September 14 & 28 Player of the Week, the honor marks his fourth Rookie of the Week accolade after previously receiving the September 7, 21 and October 12 awards.
He helped lead the Bears to Northern Division victories over Connecticut College (22-8 W) and Queens College (16-10 W), in addition to a 17-9 win over Mercyhurst College of the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Southern Division.
He notched five goals against Queens, chipped in a hat-trick with three markers versus Mercyhurst and tacked on six more in the Connecticut College game as he has helped Brown to a 5-1 record to date in the Northern Division.
