Missouri Valley Division Championship Changed to Eight-Team Format

ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- The Missouri Valley Division Championship will now be decided among eight teams following the loss of Western Illinois University. Originally a three-day format, the championship will now be contested among eight teams over two days (October 17-18) with the division winner earning an automatic bid to the National Collegiate Club Championship at the University of Florida in November.

Competition will begin at 10:10 a.m. on Saturday, October 17 when No. 1 seed Lindenwood University "A" meets host and No. 8 seed Washington University.  No. 4 seed Illinois State University versus No. 5 seed Northern Illinois University follows at 11:20 a.m., with No. 2 seed Saint Louis University against No. 7 seed Univeristy of Missouri at 3:20 p.m. and No. 3 seed Miami University (Ohio) versus Lindenwood University "B" at 4:30 p.m.   The winners and losers of the games will play out through the remainder of the day to set up the placement games beginning at 8:20 a.m. on Sunday, October 18.
