Princeton's Mark Zalewski Named October 5 Varsity Southern Division Co-Player of the Week

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- Princeton University's Mark Zalewski (Sr., St. Louis, Mo./Kirkwood) tallied hat-tricks against No. 10 Navy (7-3 W) and No. 18 Bucknell University (12-5 W) to lead the Tigers to a pair of victories and earn a share of the October 5 Varsity Southern Division Player of the Week award.

On October 3, he scored three times and added an assist as the No. 19-nationally ranked Tigers clawed past No. 10 Navy 7-3 at home in DeNunzio Pool.  His three goals came in the third periodd as he helped Princeton pull away from a 3-2 halftime lead to take a 6-3 advantage at the end of the period.

A day later, he struck again for three goals on man-up situations in the squad's 12-5 victory over No. 18 Bucknell. 

Due to his six goals over the weekend, Zalewski now leads the Tigers with 30 markers in 12 games this season with a 2.5 goals per game average.
