Bucknell Recruit Rena Heim Among Reading Eagle Athlete of the Year Finalists
READING, Pa. -- Bucknell University women's water polo recruit Rena Heim of Governor Mifflin High School is among the five finalists for the Reading Eagle Athlete of the Year. Heim earned All-State honors earlier this year as goalie in water polo while leading the Mustangs to 20 victories.
In addition to her water polo success, she swam the leadoff leg of her school's record-setting 400 free relay and earned second-team All-Berks as part of the 200 medley relay. In the spring, she earned honors as the Berks County champion in discus before finishing fourth in the state and at districts.
She plans to major in chemical engineering and play water polo at Bucknell.
