CWPA Releases Updated 2010 Annual Meeting & Referee Forum Agenda

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- The 2010 Collegiate Water Polo Association Annual Meeting will be held on Saturday-Monday, June 5-7. All school administrators and head coaches are encouraged to attend.

On Saturday-Sunday (June 5-6), a referee forum will be hosted at Viilanova University 's pool in the Pavillion featuring NCAA Coordinator of Officials Dr. Bob Corb, Western Water Polo Association Commissioner and CWPA Technical Committee member Andy Takata, CWPA Commissioner Dan Sharadin, CWPA Director of Officials Tom Tracey and incoming CWPA Director of Officiating Services Ed Reed.

The Coaches Forum and Annual Meeting will be conducted on Sunday-Monday (June 6-7) at Villanova and the Hampton Inn in Plymouth Meeting, Pa.

The Sunday (June 6) session will take place at Villanova University in the classroom adjacent to the pool. Beginning at 1:00 p.m. and continuing through early evening, the session will be for the coaching community to discuss rule interpretations and points of emphasis released by the NCAA Rules Committee. The league administration has requested the NCAA Coordinator of Officials, Bob Corb, to be in attendance, along with members of of the CWPA's Technical Committee. All coaches are urged to take part and administrators are welcome as well.

The business meeting for the membership will be held on Monday (June 7) at the host hotel, the Hampton Inn in Plymouth Meeting, Pa. The meeting will be divided into three basic sessions as in past years. The morning session will pertain to the women's issues, including a vote that will determine the realignment and competitive format for the varsity Division I and II institutions. Board of Director Elections will be held prior to lunch, followed by the general session meeting and the Annual Report. The last session will cover the men's issues. All school administrators and coaches are encouraged to attend.

Hotel rooms are available at the Hampton Inn by contacting the hotel  representative Donna Strzdoka at 610-567-0900 ext. 7026, and asking for the Collegiate Water Polo rate.  The Hampton Inn is located at 2055 Chemical Road, Plymouth Meeting, Pa.
