Indiana's Jackie Kohli Receives April 19 Women's Varsity Western Division Defensive Player of the Week Award

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- Indiana University's Jakie Kohli (So., Burnaby, B.C./Moscrop Secondary) grabbed five steals to go along with five goals and an assist to help the No. 15-ranked Hoosiers upset No. 14 San Diego State University and earn the April 18 Women's Varsity Western Division Defensive Player of the Week award.

The award marks her fourth honor from the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) this season as she previously earned the March 15 Defensive Player of the Week and garnered both February 8 and March 22 Player of the Week awards.

She had two steals, three goals and an assist in the victory over San Diego State (11-7 W), before tacking on three steals with a pair of goals and kickouts drawn in an 18-8 loss to No. 9 Arizona State University.

Kohli has 69 steals this season to rank eighth on the Indiana single-season list  as she now has 131 takeaways in her two-year collegiate career.
