Bucknell's Krystle Morgan Named April 19 Women's Varsity Southern Division Rookie of the Week
BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- Bucknell University's Krystle Morgan (Fr., Rowland Heights, Calif./Rosary) was the lone Bison freshman to score in both games this week as she tallied two goals, two steals, an assist and an ejection drawn in a 1-1 week to earn the April 19 Women's Varsity Southern Division Rookie of the Week award.
She posted a goal with two steals in a 14-12 loss at home to No. 11-nationally ranked Hartwick College, while adding a goal, an assist and an ejection drawn in an 11-10 defeat of the University of Maryland in College Park to lock-up the No. 1 seed for the Southern Division Championship on Saturday-Suunday, April 24-25 at Princeton University.
The award marks the second time Morgan has been recognized by the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) league office after earning the February 15 Southern Division Rookie of the Week award.
