Hartwick's Sasha Freeborn Named April 19 Women's Varsity Northern Division Rookie of the Week

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- Hartwick College's Sasha Freeborn (Fr., Auckland, New Zealand/Westlake Girls) tallied four goals, 11 assists and 12 steals in four games to lead the No. 11-ranked Hawks to their 10th Northern Division title and earn the April 19 Women's Varsity Northern Division Rookie of the Week award.

The award marks the second Rookie of the Week honor for Freeborn who previously garnered the March 8 award.

Overall, she helped the Hawks knock off Marist College (10-7 W), Bucknell University (14-12 W), Brown University (12-9 W OT) and Harvard University (11-8 W).  The victories over the Bears and Crimson raised Harwick's record to 4-0 in Northern Division play as the program earned its 10th consecutive division crown.

She tallied three steals in each game last week, while posting a goal and an assist versus Brown, three goals and assists  against Harvard and three assists versus both Marist and Bucknell as the Hawks improved to 24-4 on the season.
