Harvard's Monica Zdrojewski Named April 19 Women's Varsity Northern Division Co-Player of the Week

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- Harvard University's Monica Zdrojewski (So., Irvine, Calif./Dana Hills) tallied the game winning overtime goal against Brown University in a 7-6 victory and finished with four goals and five steals in a three games to earn recognition as the April 19 Women's Varsity Northern Division Co-Player of the Week.

In a 1-2 week for the Crimson, she posted a pair of goals against Brown, including the game-winner, while adding another pair of markers in an 11-8 loss to No. 11-nationally ranked Hartwick College and being held scoreless in a 14-10 loss to Brown.

Harvard, which missed out on an automatic berth to the Eastern Championship based on goal differential versus Brown University, will wait for word from the seeding committee regarding a possible at-large berth to the eight team championship field.

She shares the award with Brown University's Sarah Glick (Sr., Bonita, Calif./Bonita Vista) who tallied six goals, eight assists, three steals and two ejections drawn in a 1-2 week for the Bears.
