PSU-Behrend's Jenna Zeyfang Named April 12 Women's Varsity Division III Defensive Player of the Week
BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- Pennsylvania State University-Behrend goalie Jenna Zeyfang (Sr., Erie, Pa./Erie First Academy) recorded victories in back-to-back overtime games against Utica College and Chatham University to help the Behrend Lions clinch the No. 7 seed for the 2010 CWPA Division III Championship and earn the April 12 Women's Varsity Division III Defensive Player of the Week award.
Following games against Washington & Jefferson College (16-0 L), Grove City College (12-3 L) and Connecticut College (6-1 L), she posted nine saves and three steals as the PSU-Behrend rallied to knock off Utica 7-6 in overtime. She added 12 saves in a 9-8 overtime defeat of Chatham as the Behrend Lions concluded regular season CWPA Division III play with a 3-7 mark.
