UCLA Tops April 8 Women's Collegiate Club Top 20 Poll
BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- The University of California-Los Angeles garnered 100 points this week to retain its position as the No. 1 team in the country for a fifth week-in-a-row as the April 8 / Week 11 Women's National Collegiate Club Poll was released today by the Collegiate Water Polo Association league office.
UCLA is followed by defending National Champion California Polytechnic State University for a second week, while the University of California-Davis moved up one place to No. 3 this week with the University of Notre Dame slipping back to No. 4.
The No. 5-13 positions remain unchanged with the University of Michigan, University of California-Santa Cruz, University of Oregon, Michigan State University, University of California-Berkeley, University of Pennsylvania, Grand Valley State University, San Diego State University and the University of Colorado holding on to their rankings from the April 1 Poll.
A tie at No. 15 from last week's poll was broken up as the University of California-San Diego moved to No. 14, while the University of Arizona drops to No. 15 and the University of Utah moves back to No. 16.
Middlebury College moved ahead of the University of Texas to take over at No. 17, with California State University-Chico and Boston College rounding out the Top 20.
Overall, all 20 of the teams which rated in the March 31 Top 20 remain in the poll this week.
