George Washington's Charlotte Schou Named April 5 Women's Varsity Southern Division Defensive Player of the Week
BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- George Washington University goalie Charlotte Schou (Jr., Miami, Fla./Miami Country Day) made nine saves to lead her team to a near upset of the University of Maryland in a 5-4 OT loss and earn the April 5 Women's Varsity Southern Division Defensive Player of the Week award for a second consecutive week.
The March 29 Defensive Player of the Week, Schou kept her team in the game until a pair of goals by Allison Peotter (So., Newport Beach, Calif./Corona Del Mar) in the fourth period put the game into overtime.
On the year, she has 185 saves with 143 goals allowed (.564 save percentage) as Schou has recorded 521 saves with 430 goals allowed (.548 save percentage) in three seasons between the pipes for the Colonials.
