Mercyhurst's Lisett Calderon Named March 22 Women's Varsity Western Division Rookie of the Week
BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- Mercyhurst College's Lisett Calderon (Fr., Chicago, Ill./Fenwick) contributed five goals, including the game-winner in overtime against Gannon, and five steals to key the Lakers to a 5-0 weekend and earn the March 22 Women's Varsity Western Division Rookie of the Week award.
Against Gannon in a Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Western Division game, she scored twice, including the game-winner two minutes into overtime, to hand the Lakers a 7-6 OT victory. At the Penn State Behrend Invitational, she tacked on two goals against Villanova University (14-7 W) and a solo marker versus Chatham Univeristy (10-5 W) to help Mercyhurst go 4-0 at the event with wins over Villanova, Chatham, Utica College (11-1 W) and the host Behrend Lions (5-0 W).
