Macalester's Sarah Ellerton Named March 22 Women's CWPA Division III Player of the Week
BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- Macalester College's Sarah Ellerton (Sr., Suffield, Conn./Suffield Academy) led the Scots against California Baptist University, California Institute of Technology, University of La Verne, Fresno Pacific University, University of Redlands and Whittier College during a West Coast swing last week to earn the March 22 Women's Varsity Division III Player of the Week award.
She tallied three goals against California Baptist (19-4 L), before racking up six goals, five assists and four steals versus Cal Tech (14-12 W). In addition, she added four goals versus both Whittier (17-6 L) and Fresno Pacific (23-7 L), while aiding in the Scots' efforts against Redlands (21-9 L) with five goals.
During Macalester's eight game Spring Break trip, she registered 27 goals, 17 assists, 31 steals, 19 ejections drawn and one five-meter penalty shot drawn.
