No. 20 Princeton Controls Concordia for 13-9 Spring Break Victory
IRVINE, Calif. -- The 20th-ranked Princeton University women's water polo team picked up the third win of its Spring Break trip by topping Concordia University 13-9 on St. Patrick's Day.
Trailing by a goal at 3-2 after eight minutes of play, Princeton went on to score 10 of the next 13 goals in building a 12-6 lead through three quarters. Six Tigers scored two goals in the win as Tanya Wilcox, Cari Levine, Lauren Brunner, Carolina Ardila, Phoebe Champion and Brittany Zwirner all had two goals in the win.
Kristen Ward and Grace du Pont split time in the cage. Ward had three saves and du Pont four.
Princeton is now 10-5 and plays at the LMU Invitational this coming weekend.
