Princeton's Brittany Zwirner Named March 15 Women's Varsity Southern Division Rookie of the Week
BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- Princeton University's Brittany Zwirner (Fr., Santa Ana, Calif./Foothill) tallied eight goals at the San Diego State Aztec Invitational to lead the Tigers to a 2-2 record, increase her season goal total to 22 and earn the March 15 Women's Varsity Southern Division Rookie of the Week award.
The award marks her second Rookie of the Week nod of the season as she previously garnered the Southern Division accolade on February 22.
Against California State University-Bakersfield, she put home a goal as the Tigers fell 12-11 in overtime. She tacked on back-to-back hat-tricks versus No. 3-ranked the University of California (13-4 L) and the University of California-San Diego (6-4 W) before wrapping up the invite with a goal in a 9-4 victory over Wagner College to help Princeton raise its record to 9-5 on the season.
