Gannon's Janelle Bartman Named March 1 Women's Varsity Western Division Rookie of the Week

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- Gannon University goalie Janelle Bartman (Fr., Buffalo Grove, Ill./Stevenson) posted 26 saves as the Lady Knights went 1-3 at the Chapman Invitational to garner notice as the March 1 Women's Varsity Western Division Rookie of the Week.

She made 10 stops in an 8-7 loss to California State University-San Bernardino before blocking away seven shots in a 6-5 loss to Whittier College.  Following a five save performancce in a 16-8 loss to California State University-East Bay, she notched four saves in an 8-6 victory over Chapman University to help the Lady Knights pick up their first win of the season.
