BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- Rachel Stein (Fr., Ottawa, Ontario/Lisgar Collegiate Institute) of the University of Maryland made 15 saves to help the Terrapins to a third place finish at the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championship and earn the March 1 Women's Varsity Southern Division Rookie of the Week award.
The February 8 Southern Division Rookie and Defensive Player of the Week, the accolade marks Stein's third weekly award from the Collegiate Water Polo Association this season for the most among any player in the CWPA's three divisions (Southern, Western, Northern, Division III).
