Brown's Katharine Booher Named March 1 Women's Varsity Northern Division Rookie of the Week

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- Brown University's Katharine Booher (Fr., Palo Alto, Calif./Castilleja) grabbed seven steals and tallied the goal to tie the score at 9-9 in an eventual 10-9 Bears' victory in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championship game to earn notice as the March 1 Women's Varsity Northern Division Rookie of the Week.

Trailing host and No. 17-nationally ranked Princeton University 9-8 with the clock ticking down in the ECAC Championship game, Booher tallied the equalizer to set up a score by teammate Lauren Presant (Poway, Calif./Poway) with three seconds left in regulation for a 10-9 victory.

The win gave Brown its second-consecutive ECAC title as the Bears knocked off host Marist College in the 2009 tournament title game.
