Gannon University Falls to Wagner & Brown at Princeton Invitational

PRINCETON, N.J. -- The Gannon University women's water polo team dropped a pair of games to Wagner College and Brown University at the Princeton Invitational. The Lady Knights fell to Wagner 13-4 before falling 15-4 to the Bears.

Wagner went ahead 3-1 after one period and led 8-3 at the break. The Seahawks added four goals in the third quarter before the teams each scored once in the fourth. 

Annie Greenhill (Sr., Brea, Calif./Brea Olinda) scored two goals, while Molly Andrews (So., Tustin, Calif./Tustin) and Kelly Steininger (Fr., Vernon Hills, Ill./Vernon Hills) each added a score. Janelle Bartman (Fr., Buffalo Grove, Ill./Stevenson) made nine saves and Libbie Guina (So., Houston, Texas/Clear Brook) recorded two blocks in net. 

Against Brown, Gannon fell behind 6-0 through one quarter. The Bears led 8-0 at halftime and 12-1 after three periods. The teams each scored three times in the final stanza. 

Andrews scored twice for GU. Greenhill and Kendra Plackemeier (Sr., Bonsall, Calif./Fallbrook) both scored as well. Guina made two saves and Bartman posted one stop.
