Indiana's Katie Black Named February 15 Women's Varsity Western Division Rookie of the Week

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- Indiana Unviersity's Katie Black (Jr., Fairfield, Conn./Fairfield) recorded three goals, one assist and four steals in a 4-0 weekend for the No. 19-ranked Hoosiers at Bucknell University's Bison Invitational to earn the February 15 Women's Varsity Western Division Rookie of the Week award.

A transfer from Sierra Junior College competing in her first season in the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA), she fired home three markers in a 16-5 victory over Siena College before tallying three steals in an 11-2 win over Villanova University.  She also grabbed a steal in an 9-3 win against Marist College and was kept off the stat sheet in a 13-7 victory over Bucknell.
