Bucknell's Krystle Morgan Named February 15 Women's Varsity Southern Division Rookie of the Week
BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- Krystle Morgan (Fr., Rowland Heights, Calif./Rosary) of Bucknell University scored five goals with an assist, five ejections drawn, four steals and a field block in a 3-1 week for her team at the Bison Invitational to earn honors as the February 15 Women's Varsity Southern Division Rookie of the Week.
She ranked among the Bison leaders in points (six) and goals (five) over the weekend as Bucknell defeated Gannon University (19-4 W), Mercyhurst College (14-5 W) and Wagner College (8-7 W), while falling to No. 19-nationally ranked Indiana University (13-7 L).
Against Gannon, Morgan posted a pair of goals with three ejections drawn and two steals before netting two goals, two steals and an ejection drawn versus Mercyhurst. She wrapped up the weekend by talling two steals and a field block against Wagner, before adding a goal and an ejection drawn versus Indiana.
