Hartwick's Lily Martinez Named February 15 Women's Varsity Northern Division Rookie of the Week
BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- Hartwick College's Lily Martinez (Fr., Commerce, Calif./Montebello) recorded two goals, six assists and six steals in a 5-1 week for the No. 9-nationally ranked Hawks to earn the February 15 Women's Varsity Northern Division Rookie of the Week award.
She notched a goal in a 14-8 victory over Fresno Pacific University before tallying two assists and a pair of steals in a 14-10 win versus California State University-East Bay. In Hartwick's 10-9 comeback defeat of the University of the Pacific, Martinez scored a goal with three assists and a steal.
Following an assist in a 15-6 victory over California State University-Monterey Bay, she wrapped up the weekend with two steals in a 12-7 loss to No. 13-ranked California State University-Northridge as the Hawks wrapped up the best West Coast swing in program history.
