Amber McMichael Named Assistant Coach at Utica College

UTICA, N.Y. -- Utica College head coach Eric Stilz has announced the hiring of Amber McMichael as the top assistant coach of the Pioneers.

McMichael will assist Stilz with all facets of the men’s and women’s swim and dive teams as well as the women’s water polo program. McMichael comes to UC after an impressive water polo career at Wagner College in Staten Island, NY.

As a player she ranks second all-time at Wagner tallying 100 career assists, while guiding the Seahawks to a 83-58 record in four seasons. She ranks eighth in Wagner history with 74 career goals and graduated in 2008 with a degree in sociology, while minoring in business administration.

A graduate of Govenor Mifflin High School in her hometown of Reading, Pennsylvania, McMichael was an all-state water polo player in 2002 and 2003 for the Mustangs.
