Fordham Water Polo Team Helps with Freshmen Move-In

BRONX, N.Y. -- Members of the Fordham University football, volleyball, water polo and track and field squads spent part of Sunday, August 31 standing at the ready outside of Alumni North and South and Queens Court, helping the incoming freshmen unload their vehicles. This has become an annual event for the Rams, who come to the aid of the Office of Residential Life by lending a hand to make move-in day run smoothly.

"The Residential Life Office helps us out in the summer when we come in for camp and this is our way of thanking them," said Fordham head football coach Tom Masella.

The football Rams were in charge of hauling the heavy goods, including refrigerators, televisions and cases of water, up flights of stairs, gleaning admiration from parents and students who thought they would have to do the heavy lifting themselves. The volleyball and track and field student-athletes lent a hand with other items, ensuring a trouble-free move-in day for all involved.
