Grand Valley State's Peter Huyser Named Oct. 20 Great Lakes Division Player of the Week

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- Grand Valley State University goalie Peter Huyser anchored the Lakers' defense saving 43 of 68 shots for a 63.23 save percentage to earn the October 20 Great Lakes Division Player of the Week award as the Lakers captured the division title and a berth to the National Collegiate Club Championship at Ohio University.

Grand Valley, which knocked off Ball State University (17-6 W), the University of Dayton (8-7 W OT), and Ohio University (12-9 W) before downing the University of Notre Dame (15-8 W) in the division title game for the program's seventh straight Great Lakes title (2002-08), receives the No. 5 seed for the National Collegiate Club Championship on November 14-16 at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio.
