St. Francis College Rolls to 15-5 Win over Brown for 2008 Northern Division Title

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- No. 2 seed St. Francis College captured the 2008 Northern Division Championship with a 15-5 victory over top-seeded Brown University at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

he championship marks the Terriers fifth straight Northern Division title and fourth straight win over Brown in the title game.

Previously, the Terriers downed the Bears 14-10 in 2007, 22-6 in 2006 and 9-7 in 2005 after defeating Harvard University 16-5 in the 2004 title game.  Overall, St. Francis now has a 12-game winning streak in Northern Division competition and has won 14 of its last 15 games in division championship play, with a 10-9 sudden death overtime loss to Queens College in the 2004 title game the only blight.

St. Francis, Brown, Iona College, MIT, the United States Naval Academy, Princeton University, Johns Hopkins University and Bucknell University will clash at the Eastern Championship on November 21-23 at Navy to decide which team receivs the Collegiate Water Polo Association's automatic bid to the NCAA Final Four at Stanford University.
