USC, Redlands & St. Francis Remain No. 1 in Nov. 12 Men's Varsity Polls
BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- The University of Southern California, the University of Redlands and Saint Francis College retained their No. 1 rankings in the Varsity Top 20, Division III Top 10 and Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Top 10 polls, respectively, as the November 12 Men's Varsity Polls were released by the CWPA league office.
In the Varsity Top 20 poll, USC held onto the top spot for another week after claiming the No. 1 ranking seven weeks ago for the first time since 2007. Like the previous four weeks, the Trojans garnered 100 points and are a unanimous choice as the top team in the nation.
The poll saw one change in the Top 10 as the University of California, Los Angeles climbed past Stanford University to take over the No. 2 spot.
Overall, the poll experienced little change as 11 of the top 13 positions remained unchanged.
Princeton University climbed to No. 14 this week on the heels of the winning the CWPA Southern Division Championship, while the United States Naval Academy climbed one place to No. 15 and Santa Clara University slipped back to No. 16.
Brown University, University of the Pacific and California Bapstist University remained at No. 17-19, respectively, and the United States Air Force Academy climbed back into the Top 20 at No. 20 this week.

In the Division III ranks saw dramatic changes as the University of Redlands and Johns Hopkins University remained at No. 1 and 2, while the University of California-Santa Cruz and Whittier College retained positions No. 9 and 10, but the other six spots all changed.
Pomona Pitzer Colleges climbed to No. 3, Occidental College fell to No. 4, California Lutheran University jumped to No. 5, MIT climbed to No. 6, Claremont-Mudd-Scripps slipped to No. 7 and Chapman University fell back to No. 8.

Saint Francis College retained its No. 1 ranking in the Collegiate Water Polo Association poll as the Terriers captured the Northern Division title with a 15-5 win over Brown University over the weekend.
Princeton University improved three places to No. 2 this week as the Southern Division champion Tigers knocked off the United States Naval Academy for the division crown.
Navy remained at No. 3, while Brown University fell back two places to No. 4. Johns Hopkins University, which finished third at the Southern Championship, moved up one place to No. 5, Southern Division fourth place finisher Bucknell University placed sixth, Northern Division third place finisher Iona College placed seventh and Northern Division fourth place finisher the Massachusetts Institute of Technology took possession of eighth as each of the teams will continue the season at the Eastern Championship on November 21-23 at Navy.
George Washington University and Fordham University round out the poll as the Colonials and Rams placed ninth and 10th, respectively.
