Harvard Seeks Coaching Assistant

The Harvard Water Polo program invites applicants for a nine-month coaching assistant position, to begin in August. The coaching assistant (CA) is responsible for coaching, recruiting, and administration for the men's and women's water polo programs at Harvard. Responsibilities include running portions of team practices, assisting in making strategic decisions in contest situations, and participating in recruiting activities. The CA position is designed to give the successful candidate a strong, broad-based developmental experience with Harvard Water Polo and its student-athletes.

The successful candidate must have a Bachelor's degree as well as outstanding administrative skills; the ability to communicate with and relate to college-aged student-athletes; and excellent sport specific technical, tactical, and strategic knowledge. You should also have a good understanding of Harvard, the Ivy League and the role that athletics plays within a highly selective, non-scholarship university. A minimum of two years of coaching experience preferred. Intercollegiate playing experience preferred.
