Air Force's Cristina Richter Named March 9 Southwest Division Player of the Week

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- Junior Christina Richter of the United States Air Force Academy totaled 11 goals, 23 steals, five ejections drawn and two five-meter penalty shots in four games while leading the Falcons on defense to earn the March 9 Southwest Division Player of the Week award.

Overall, she led the Falcons to a 2-2 record at the divisional event hosted at West Mesa Aquatic Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico, as Air Force knocked off Colorado State University (11-6 W) and Northern Arizona University (17-14 W), while falling to then No. 12-nationally ranked University of Utah (7-5 L) and No. 16 University of Arizona (16-10 L).

She tallied four of her goals against Utah as Air Force clinched the No. 4 seed for the upcoming Southwest Division Championship to be hosted by the Falcons on April 4-5 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
