Bucknell's Shana Palencia Named March 30 Southern Division Player of the Week

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- Bucknell University driver Shana Palencia (Jr., Glendale, Calif./Hoover) made the Bison's only game of the week count as she scored four goals and collected two steals in a 9-7 Southern Division victory at Princeton Universtiy to earn the March 30 Southern Division Player of the Week award.

The win marked the second for Bucknell in 27-meeting versus the Tigers and the first on the road as the Bison moved into second in the Southern Division and dropped Princeton back to third.

Her final goal against the Tigers proved to be the game-winner as she ripped a shot into the cage to give Bucknell an 8-6 lead with under two minutes to play.  In addition, the goal raised her season scoring total to 66 points as she equaled her career high.

Ranked fourth on the team in goals (38), she has netted a career high 28 assists this season to improve her career totals to 98 goals and 70 assists for 168 points.
