Maryland's Elina Goldenberg Named March 2 Southern Division Player of the Week

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- University of Maryland utility player Elina Goldenberg (Fr., Ft. Lauderdale, Fla./St. Thomas Aquinas) scored six goals in three games, including a hat-trick in an 11-7 win over Harvard University, to earn the March 2 Southern Division Player of the Week award and lead the No. 20-nationally ranked Terrapins to a 1-2 record at the 2009 Elite Six Tournament.

The February 16 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Southern Divsiion Rookie of the Week, she registered two goals against No. 14 University of Michigan (9-8 L) and one against No. 15 Hartwick College (14-9 L) as she helped the Terrapins improve to 8-6 on the season.
