Hartwick's Shannon Leonard Named March 23 Northern Division Rookie of the Week

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- Hartwick College driver Shannon Leonard (Fr., Montreal, Quebec/John Rennie) scored four goals and grabbed three steals to be named the March 23 Northern Division Rookie of the Week award and lead the Hawks to an 11-7 win over Pacific University at the San Diego State University Aztec Invitational last week.

Against the Tigers, she scored twice and added a steal as No. 12-nationally ranked Hartwick rolled to an 11-7 victory. 

In addition, Leonard added two goals and two kick-outs drawn in a 13-5 loss to No. 6 University of California, a steal and three kick-outs drawn in a 16-7 loss to No. 9 San Jose State University and a steal in an 11-4 loss to No. 4 University of Hawaii as the Hawks finished 1-3 on the weekend.
