CWPA Earns 2009 CoSIDA Conference Media Guide & Cover of the Year Awards

SAN ANTONIO, Texas -- The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), the national organization for college sports information and athletic communications professionals, announced the selection of the 2009 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Women's Media Guide as the Division C National Conference Media Guide of the Year. In addition, the conference earned the Division C National Conference Media Guide Cover of the Year award.

Selected from small conference publications around the country by a panel of judges, the publication honors mark the first regional or national awards in the history of the Collegiate Water Polo Association.  Further, it marks the first national publication award searned by a water polo institution besides the University of California-Los Angeles, Stanford University or University of Southern California, which have taken "Outstanding Water Polo Guide" awards in the single sport publication competition consistently over the past 10 seasons.

The 2009 publication awards will be presented on June 24 at the 2009 CoSIDA Convention in San Antonio, Texas' Marriott Rivercenter.
