Washington & Jefferson Announces 2009 Women's Schedule

WASHINGTON, Pa. -- The Washington & Jefferson Department of Athletics has announced the program's 2009 women's schedule featuring eight Collegiate Water Polo Association Western Division regular season games and two tournaments.

The Presidents will kick-off the season on March 7-8 against the University of Michigan and Indiana University before travelling out to the West Coast to compete in the Claremont Convergence on the campus of Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (March 14-15).

W&J will return home to host Mercyhurst College (March 21), Penn State Erie-The Behrend College (March 22) and Salem International University (March 22) before hitting the road for games at Gannon University (March 28), Grove City College (March 28) and Chatham University (March 29).

Following the Carthage Invitational at Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin on April 3-4, the Presidents will venture to Indiana University for the Western Division Championship (April 18-19).

If W&J qualifies, the team will compete in the Eastern Championship on April 24-26 at Harvard University before travelling to the University of California-Santa Cruz for the Division III Nationals.
