No. 19 Indiana Overcomes Gannon 12-7 in CWPA Western Division Action
ERIE, Pa. -- The Gannon University women's water polo team dropped a 12-7 decision to #19 Indiana on April 3 at the Carneval Athletic Pavilion in Collegiate Water Polo Association Western Division action.
IU (14-14, 5-1 CWPA West) led 5-2 after one period and then scored twice in the second period to take a 7-4 halftime edge. GU (9-6, 4-2 CWPA West) was outscored again in the third, falling behind 11-5.
The Lady Knights had five different players score, as Colleen Harriger (Erie, Pa./McDowell) and Kendra Plackemeier (Bonsall, Calif./Fallbrook) each had two goals. Ashley McLellan (Erie, Pa./McDowell), Molly Andrews (Tustin, Calif./Tustin) and Annie Greenhill (Brea, Calif./Brea Olinda) had one score apiece.
