Weather Alert: Southwest Division Championship Update

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Due to a severe weather advisory for 6-12 inches of snow in the Colorado Springs region, the Collegiate Water Polo Association league office, in consultation with the United States Air Force Academy, is currently studying the feasibility of hosting the Southwest Division Championship this weekend at Air Force.

The league is considering other options at the present time and USAF is determining whether they can host on 4/18-19 as an alternative.

At this point, the CWPA will make a decision by Friday morning regarding the tournament and any potential make-up date if the championship must be moved to another weekend.

A reminder to all Southwest Division teams and fans: As the Northwest Division runner-up (University of Washington) has declined their bid for a second team to attend Nationals, the Southwest Division will receive opportunity to have two teams (first & second place in the division) attend the National Collegiate Club Championship at the University of California-Davis in early May.
