California Polytechnic Remains No. 1 in April 22 Women's National Collegiate Club Poll
BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- The dust has cleared from the division championships, and the field is set for the 2009 National Collegiate Club Championship at the University of California-Davis. However, the top teams in the nation remain the same as defending national champion and Pacific Coast Division champion California Polytechnic State University held onto the No. 1 ranking in the April 22 Collegiate Club Poll.
Overall, the top six positions in the poll did not change as University of Notre Dame, University of California-Los Angeles, University of Michigan, University of California-Davis and University of Oregon follow in No. 2-6 behind Cal Poly.
University of Utah, University of Arizona, Michigan State University and University of Pennsylvania round out the Top 10 teams, while Grand Valley State University and University of Illinois slid back to No. 11 and 12, respectively.
University of California-San Diego, California State University-Chico and University of Texas complete the Top 15 teams in the nation, with University of Central Florida, Boston College, New York University, Dartmouth College and Miami University (Ohio) completing the Top 20 women's club teams in the nation.
