2009 National Collegiate Club Championship Field Announced
DAVIS, Calif. --
The bracket for the 2009 National Collegiate Club Championship to
be hosted by the University of California-Davis on May 1-3 is now
set as the 16-teams that comprise the field are earned their
positions and are preparing to battle for the 10th national club
championship. Defending national champion and Pacific Coast
Division champion California Polytechnic State
University leads the field at the No. 1 position.
Northwest Division champion University of Oregon,
Sierra Pacific Division champion and host University of
California-Davis, Southwest Division champion
University of Arizona and Mid-Atlantic Division
champion University of Pennsylvania rate in the
No. 2-5 spots, while Southeast Division champion University
of Central Florida, Big 10 Champion University of
Michigan, New England Division champion Dartmouth
College, Pacific Coast Division Runner-Up
University of California-Los Angeles and Southwest
Division regular season champion University of
Utah round out the Top 10 placements in the field.
Midwest Division champion University of Notre Dame, New York Division champion New York University, North Atlantic Division champion Boston College, Heartland Division champion Carleton College and Texas Division champion University of Texas round out the field.
