USC Earns Berth In Final

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. - In a tightly contested defensive battle USC defeated UMass
3-2 to advance to the National Collegiate Club Championship title game. In a game that posted just two ejections, the Trojans got the better of the defensive battle, slowly building a 3-0 lead and holding on for the victory.

Matt Vaneck scored two goals for USC, including the eventual game winner. David Kong tallied the other score for the Trojans. Chad Arnold and Ricky Puig scored for UMass. USC will play Cal Poly in the final tomorrow. UMass faces off against Michigan State.
