Penn Stops Grand Valley State

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. - The second seeded Pennsylvania Quakers won their first round match-up with Grand Valley State University by a 12-10 margin. After building an 11-6 lead at the end of the third quarter, the Quakers had to hold off a late fourth period run by the Lakers that closed the margin to two.

Nick Kittredge scored six goal to lead Penn in scoring while JR VanderWall paced the Lakers with four. Penn meets the UMass in its quarterfinal game. Grand Valley will face off against the U.S. Military Academy in the consolation bracket.
